Definition
Provide guidance, direction, and management of the reentrants and their activities. Will act as the primary contact for reentrants and assist them with their concerns and issues. The primary responsibility will be determining reentrants’ social service needs and assisting in creating and implementing Individual Renewal Plans. Must enforce compliance with program guidelines and assist the Case Management Supervisor in the functioning of the center's daily activities (administration). This individual will make appropriate referrals to Renewal, Inc. programs as well as outside agencies based on the reentrant’s established needs. This individual will assist in initiating and developing policies and procedures as well as maintaining reentrant records. This individual will assist reentrants in establishing goals for their aftercare plan and release from the program into the community.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
Knowledge of Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Public Policy, or other related field; human relations skills a must; Familiar with the criminal justice system and community resources. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with all levels of management, employees, and reentrants; ability to deal effectively with reentrants and referral sources; self-starting, motivated, highly-organized, and adapt to changing technology; Proven skills at problem solving and conducting research; Should be computer literate particularly in Microsoft Office. Ability to communicate, and to help the reentrants express their own needs and aspirations. Must have a working knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing practices.
A Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work and a minimum of two years of experience in a related field are required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
