We’re growing, and we’re looking for a Drilling Supervisor to join our Operations team and play a key role in delivering high-quality geothermal drilling projects across the UK.
As a Drilling Supervisor, you’ll take responsibility for the safe, efficient and effective day-to-day operation of active drilling sites. You’ll lead and support drilling teams, monitor site performance and ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, to the required quality and in line with company standards.
You’ll travel between sites, working closely with management, project teams, clients and subcontractors while supporting the development and performance of our drilling teams. We’re looking for an experienced drilling professional who combines strong technical knowledge with confident leadership and people-management skills.

You’ll travel between sites, working closely with management, project teams, clients and subcontractors while supporting the development and performance of our drilling teams. We’re looking for an experienced drilling professional who combines strong technical knowledge with confident leadership and people-management skills.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience in geothermal or shallow geothermal drilling.
- Strong knowledge of drilling methods, mud management and grouting.
- Experience with drilling equipment and Comacchio rigs.
- A good understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing drilling teams.
- Strong communication, planning and resource-management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple sites and competing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- The confidence and resilience to take ownership and accountability for site performance.
- A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
- Taking responsibility for the safe and effective running of active drilling sites.
- Leading, supporting and developing drilling teams.
- Monitoring site performance against programme, productivity, quality and cost expectations.
- Ensuring all drilling activities meet health, safety, environmental and company requirements.
- Visiting multiple sites and providing support, direction and intervention where needed.
- Identifying operational issues and opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
- Managing equipment, materials and resources to minimise downtime and unnecessary costs.
- Working closely with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Reviewing drilling data and site information to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Promoting a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Land Drilling (Essential)
- Valid CSCS Card (Essential)
- Full clean driving licence (Essential)
- Telehandler Ticket (Desirable)
- Mud School Training Course (Desirable)
- SSTS/SMSTS (Desirable)
- NEBOSH (Desirable)
