Why this role matters

As the Data Management Lead you will implement and maintain enterprise-wide data governance, quality, and management practices across Scatec globally. This role will ensure that data is treated as a trusted, reliable corporate asset across all global teams and operations — serving as a single source of truth that enables both regulatory compliance and data-driven decision making.

What you'll be doing

  • Implement and maintain enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and a data catalogue in line with Digital & IT practices.
  • Support the establishment of data ownership and accountability across business units, including governance of master data domains.
  • Identify data quality risks and lead clean-up and remediation initiatives to ensure data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
  • Drive data standardization across the organization — including naming conventions, taxonomies, and data classification — and maintain data lineage to ensure data is traceable across systems.
  • Oversee data lifecycle management, including retention, archival, and secure disposal of data in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with Enterprise Architecture and the Data Platform team on data standards, architecture decisions, and system implementations.
  • Support the data readiness roadmap for AI, working with the Data Analytics & AI team to ensure data is well-governed and fit for purpose.

Your work will support real decisions, real assets, and real operational outcomes

What you'll gain

  • Professional growth through ownership, exposure, and meaningful contribution from day one
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority
  • Hands-on experience in a role where the challenge is energising, fast-moving, meaningful, and built on learning through doing
  • Ability to drive cultural change and build data literacy across a global organisation

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science or Business Administration
  • Advanced Degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) preferred
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in data management, data governance, or a closely related function
  • Track record of designing and implementing data governance frameworks in complex, multi-country organizations
  • Background in Master Data Management (MDM) and data lifecycle management
  • Experience in the renewables or energy sector is an advantage
