Loan Documentation Specialist I

Summary:

Create loan documents and perform pre-documentation and post-documentation reviews on non-complex consumer and commercial loan requests by preparing, reviewing, and maintaining loan files under established procedures. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare standard consumer and commercial loan documents on non-complex loan requests using approved templates 
  • Assist with pre-documentation file reviews for completeness and accuracy 
  • Perform post-documentation activities including imaging, indexing, and file maintenance 
  • Track receipt of executed loan documents and trailing items 
  • Respond to routine internal inquiries related to loan documentation status 
  • Identify documentation exceptions and escalate as appropriate 

Education And/Or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred 
  • 0–2 years of banking, loan operations, or documentation experience 
  • Basic understanding of loan documentation and filing requirements 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Attention to detail 
  • Time management 
  • Document accuracy 
  • Willingness to learn 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer workstation 
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboarding, data entry, and handling documents 
  • Ability to view computer screens for prolonged periods with close visual attention to detail 
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching within the office environment 
  • Ability to lift and carry files or office materials weighing up to 25 pounds 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, by telephone, and via electronic communication
