The Property Director will be the main conduit for guest facing services delivered by Cruz Bay Watersports. The scope of responsibilities will encompass, but not be limited to, managing retail and beach staff, managing Sail Academy, managing CBW Concierge Services, communication with Destination Club Concierge, communication with Hotel Executive Staff, communication with Catering, assisting with retail inventory, assisting with payroll and scheduling, assisting with staff training.

Description of Duties
Managing Watersports Staff
Organize and supervise daily operations
Supervise safety aspects of all watersports policy and procedures
Assist with creating standard processes for delivering watersports
Assign and delegate daily tasks to watersports staff
Approve staff schedules
Oversees boat provisioning
Assign staff member to Destination Club Members Reception
Ensure all CBW employee policies are being followed
Supervise maintenance and upkeep of watersports equipment
Make recommendations for equipment replacement
Create a team environment
Challenge and motivate staff to achieve sales, superior guest service and promote CBW
Management and oversight of Sail Academy
Managing Cruz Bay Watersports Concierge Staff
Organize and supervise daily operations
Ensure team members are well versed in CBW trips and offerings
Ensure team members are well versed in additional aspects of the islands
Train team members to deliver a high level of service to guests
Build team members rapport with Ritz teams
Manages all systems: (Fareharbor, Schedulefly, Slack, Shopify)
Train team members on Fareharbor
Communication with Ritz Carlton Concierge Staff
Daily brief of upcoming trips, cancellations, CBW business and announcements
Review and provide information regarding Fareharbor and processes
Guest resolution related to CBW trips, billing and retail room charges
Request monthly occupancy from Operations Managers on each property
Forward critical communications regarding guest or property information to Management Team
Attend Hotel Operations meetings as requested
Communication with Catering
Monitor and submit daily trip counts to Chef
Track and record trip counts to be submitted for billing
Problem solve immediate issues with incorrect food orders
Communicate with Chef on updates to menu options
Prepare monthly catering forecast for CBW Trips
Retail Inventory
Supervise and train staff on inventory policies for tracking, reporting and billing
Assist with inventory counts as requested by Finance
Communicate inventory needs to appropriate CBW staff members
Responsible for reconciling and maintaining Medicine Chest at Concierge
Payroll and Scheduling
Manage and report days worked, daily commission sheets, Ritz trip crew tips
Summarize monthly requests for time off and assist with creating schedules
Adjust schedule for call outs, emergency time off and reducing staff as needed
Staff Training
Responsible for obtaining and submitting Employee Paperwork to Director of Watersports
Responsible for Day 1-3 Staff Introduction and Training
Responsible for delegating training portions to supporting team members
Promoting and coordinating Brand Training with Human Resources
Assist with completion of Dinghy Training and record keeping of evolutions
Promote weekly/monthly staff training in all aspects of the Watersports Center, Sales, watersports and safety
Encourage upward mobility within Cruz Bay Watersports for staff members seeking additional opportunities
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
Two (2) year degree from an accredited university in Hotel, Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration and/or related major OR least six (6) years of experience in the field
Two (2) years of Supervisory experience
Previous experience in customer service and/or equivalent work experience PLUS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be able to walk on various types of surfaces including rough terrain, sitting, standing, maintaining balance, on the beach, in the water, and working alone.
Must be able to work various work settings such as exposure to sunlight and outside temperature.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all persons contacted during the work.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply regulations and safe practices.
Ability to operate assigned equipment, read and interpret documents.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely.
Must be able to operate with little or no supervision.
Must be willing to work holidays, nights, and weekends.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
