Maintenance Technician (Wireline)

 

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance and service of Ranger Energy equipment reporting to the Maintenance Manager.  With minimal supervision and significant autonomy, the typical areas of responsibility include safely performing scheduled maintenance, maintaining, and building customer relationships, and providing first line support for troubleshooting equipment.  Ranger Energy employees are proudly responsible for maintaining a safe and professional work environment and positive workplace.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:

 

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain Benchmark measuring head components including: 3K and 5K heads, hoist man’s panels, and interconnecting cables; with all job duties and responsibilities executed in a reliable and efficient manner while in compliance with all company and manufacturers procedures and specifications.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain electromechanical tools including CCL’s, hydraulic jars, setting tools, centralizers, and controllers.
  • Read and interpret manuals, policy, engineering standards, regulations, drawings, and schematics, including electrical, mechanical, and exploded parts diagrams.
  • Participate in call out/on call requirements
  • Actively participate in company safety programs and initiatives
  • Perform specialized technical skills (i.e. develop, implement, train, and track service quality improvement initiatives).
  • Provide mentoring and oversight to less qualified employees
  • Provide accurate written and electronic reporting. Maintain, track, and replenish service inventory. Assist with asset tracking and management.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving the movement of tools and equipment.
  • Comply with Ranger Energy Services policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving record
  • Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a passion for quality improvement
  • Desire to expand knowledge and grow into advanced positions

COMPUTER

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Outlook and Word
  • Experience using software to track and analyze quality performance, asset management, etc.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings
