Salary: From $70,188 per annum + 12% superannuation 

           

Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Moverly Children's Centre is seeking a Certificate III qualified Early Childhood Educator to join the team. 

 

Purpose:

Work as a member of the child care team in providing a high-quality long day care service for up to 39 children, 0-5 years of age, with a particular emphasis on educational programs, good communication skills and working in a team environment. 

 

About the role:

  • Take shared responsibility for individuals and groups of children to ensure a safe, caring and stimulating environment are provided at all times.
  • Liaise with parents and team to ensure the Centre’s developmental records, children’s observations and work samples, as well as any programs are presented in a professional manner
  • Maintain an open, supportive team environment with team members, which facilities the implementation of a challenging program for all children and assures parents that the Centre is providing a high quality service.
  • Work with the child care team to ensure that the Centre at all times operates within Council and the Centre policies and procedures. Also liaise with team to ensure children’s services Regulations are met at all times to ensure a safe environment for both staff and children.

 

About you:

  • Certificate III in Children’s Services
  • Ability to assist in creating a warm, encouraging learning environment for all children
  • A NSW Working with Children Clearance, as per the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012, obtained via the Office of the Children’s Guardian>
