Description
We're looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. You'll play a critical role in preparing accurate project estimates, reviewing plans and specifications, and collaborating with operations teams to help secure profitable projects. What You’ll Do
- Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform material takeoffs and quantity calculations
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Assist in preparing competitive bid proposals and project budgets
- Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Operations teams throughout the estimating process
- Maintain estimating databases, pricing information, and historical project costs
- Meet bid deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Estimate work to include: concrete, masonry, framing, trim, insulation, drywall, siding, landscape and irrigation
What You Need
- 3+ years experience estimating residential or commercial construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
