Quality Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Manager will lead the site Quality team, including Quality Inspectors and Quality Engineers, to improve internal and external product quality and build a world-class quality culture across all functions. This leader will own end-to-end site quality, including customer issue resolution, supplier quality improvement, and product and process compliance with ISO procedures.

This role is accountable for strengthening the site’s quality management system, improving customer and supplier quality performance, and driving disciplined problem solving across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and program teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage the site ISO certification process and contribute to revisions and updates of the Global Quality Policy, Quality Manual, quality documentation structure, and quality systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements. Support attainment and maintenance of other applicable certifications, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

  • - Review customer quality issues, support root cause investigations, ensure countermeasures are implemented, and submit required reports in the appropriate format, such as 8D, on time.

  • - Generate, analyze, and report internal and external quality KPIs to identify trends, prioritize improvement actions, and communicate performance to site and business leadership.

  • - Develop and manage inspection and quality control plans for incoming materials and finished goods. Establish process control procedures and ensure finished products meet quality specifications and standards.

  • - Lead supplier quality improvement efforts by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Procurement, and R&D/Engineering.

  • - Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Quality Inspection, and Program Management to resolve complex manufacturing quality and compliance challenges.

  • - Lead Material Review Board (MRB) reviews and daily management activities to disposition nonconforming material, drive accountability, and support timely issue resolution.

  • - Support development and maintenance of DFMEAs and PFMEAs for manufacturing processes and new products.

  • - Develop, coach, and mentor Quality Engineers, Technicians and Inspectors while building technical capability, succession plans, and career growth opportunities.

  • - Visit customers and suppliers as needed to support the team and serve as an escalation point for significant quality issues.

  • - Perform duties in accordance with established quality standards.

  • - Support continuous improvement activities focused on reducing defects, scrap, and rework while improving product reliability and process capability.

  • - Other duties assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required; master’s degree preferred.

  • - 10+ years of progressive Quality leadership experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.

  • - Demonstrated ownership of a manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS).

  • - Expert knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, Management Review, and Quality Systems.

  • - Strong analytical skills with the ability to use quality data, trend analysis, and problem-solving tools to drive corrective and preventive actions.

  • - Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

  • - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, audits, customer issues, supplier actions, and cross-functional improvement initiatives.

  • - Demonstrated leadership skills, including conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, coaching, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
