The Technology Management Division (TMD) provides Corporate IT, and Cyber
Security & Privacy Governance to Rakuten Group companies and essential business management for technology organizations, thereby enabling innovation and strengthening the technology foundation. Within TMD, the Corporate IT Supervisory Department (CITD) drives Rakuten Group’s global corporate IT services and infrastructure. The Corporate IT Service Department (CITSD) empowers Rakuten through innovative and secure IT solutions that drive efficiency and enhance productivity. Our service scope encompasses enterprise application management for core business functions, driving business process automation and digital transformation through our IT platform, providing comprehensive end-user support and operations, and optimizing IT processes to support a range of essential services and platforms.

We are seeking a Technical Specialist who can collaborate with the SAM team's operations staff to understand the technical specifications of software and SaaS products, and drive their implementation on IT platforms as well as the design of access controls.

Position Details

<Technical Software Governance>

・Evaluate technical capabilities and administrative controls of software products and SaaS platforms.

・Design technical governance controls to enforce software licensing and usage policies.

・Assess software deployment architectures, authentication mechanisms, and access control models.

・Support software onboarding reviews from a technical governance perspective.

<Platform Administration & Engineering>

・Manage and optimize software administration consoles and management platforms.

・Configure access control, role management, and policy enforcement settings.

・Collaborate with Enterprise IT teams to implement software restrictions and governance controls.

・Design integration requirements between software platforms and enterprise systems.

<Automation & Compliance Controls>

・Develop automated controls for software provisioning, deprovisioning, and license assignment.

・Support implementation of policy-based software management.

・Enhance compliance monitoring through automation and data-driven processes.

・Reduce manual operational effort through workflow optimization.

<Technical Risk Assessment>

・Evaluate software from security, compliance, and operational perspectives.

・Review software architecture and enterprise deployment requirements.

・Collaborate with Information Security teams to assess software-related risks.

・Recommend technical mitigations and governance controls.

<Stakeholder Collaboration>

・Partner with SAM Operations teams to translate policy requirements into technical solutions.

・Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Endpoint Management, Identity Management, Security, and Procurement teams.

・Support software vendors in technical discussions regarding product capabilities and governance requirements.

・Provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders and software owners.

Mandatory Qualifications:

・3+ years of experience in IT Engineering, IT Operations, Endpoint Management, Enterprise Applications, or related technical fields.

・Strong understanding of SaaS, cloud services, and enterprise software architectures.

・Experience administering enterprise software platforms and management consoles.

・Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), and access control mechanisms.

・Understanding of software deployment, packaging, provisioning, and lifecycle management processes.

・Business-level communication skills in both Japanese and English.

Desired Qualifications:

・Experience working with enterprise security platforms and governance controls.

・Ability to understand technical requirements and translate business policies into technical implementations.
