Lead one of the most important guest-experience teams at RACV Goldfields Resort.
At RACV, we create memorable experiences for members and guests across our award-winning resorts and clubs. Located in Creswick, Victoria, between Ballarat and Daylesford, RACV Goldfields Resort is looking for an experienced, hands-on and people-focused Housekeeping Manager to lead a critical department that directly shapes first impressions, guest satisfaction and resort presentation.
A day in the life
As Housekeeping Manager, you will take ownership of the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring rooms and public areas are presented to exceptional standards every day. This is a highly visible leadership role where you will coach and inspire your team, drive productivity and service consistency, manage resources and budgets, and partner closely with Front Office, Maintenance and the wider resort leadership team to deliver seamless guest experiences.
What you'll be doing:

Leading, coaching, recognising and developing a large housekeeping team to deliver consistently high standards

Taking ownership of daily operations, guest room readiness, public area presentation, procedures and quality standards

Driving productivity, labour efficiency, cost control and continuous improvement while maintaining service quality

Planning rosters, workforce coverage and training to match occupancy, business needs and team capability

Managing equipment, chemicals, linen, lost property, keys, radios, stock control and PAR levels

Building strong working relationships with Front Office, Maintenance and other resort departments to resolve guest and operational priorities quickly

Embedding a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with health, safety, wellbeing, chemical handling and manual-handling requirements

Responding to guest feedback with care, professionalism and a solutions-focused approach

Supporting budget planning, forecasting, purchasing and cost management for the department
What you'll bring:

Proven experience leading a housekeeping operation within a hotel, resort, accommodation or similarly fast-paced environment

A strong, visible leadership style with the ability to inspire, engage and hold teams accountable

Excellent communication skills and the confidence to partner with department leaders, suppliers and stakeholders

A genuine passion for guest experience, team culture and maintaining exceptional presentation standards

Strong operational, planning, rostering, budgeting and organisational capability

The ability to prioritise competing demands, make sound decisions and remain calm in a busy resort environment

A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, smarter ways of working and service consistency

Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety practices, including safe chemical use, manual handling and risk management

A team-first attitude, strong attention to detail and pride in delivering a polished, guest-ready resort environment

Hospitality, Tourism or related tertiary qualifications (desirable)

First Aid certification

Experience within a multi-outlet hospitality operation (desirable)
