Set against the stunning backdrop of Victoria's Bass Coast, RACV Inverloch Resort is entering an exciting new chapter with a major expansion that will further enhance our accommodation, guest experiences and resort facilities.  

As we continue to grow, we're seeking an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to help lead our housekeeping team and play a key role in delivering exceptional standards across the resort. 

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you'll be instrumental in the day-to-day leadership of the department, supporting a high-performing team while helping shape housekeeping operations during this exciting period of growth and transformation. 

 

About the Role 

As the second in charge of the housekeeping department, you will lead Team Leaders and Housekeeping Attendants to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety and service across the resort. You'll drive operational excellence, support team development and work collaboratively across departments to deliver exceptional experiences for our members and guests. 

 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Support and deputise for the Housekeeping Manager across all operational requirements 

  • Lead, coach and develop Housekeeping Team Leaders and Attendants 

  • Drive departmental performance, quality standards and service excellence 

  • Coordinate daily room allocations, cleaning schedules and workforce planning 

  • Monitor productivity, labour costs, departmental budgets and inventory levels 

  • Champion workplace health and safety, risk management and compliance activities 

  • Lead training initiatives and ensure all team members meet RACV service standards 

  • Work closely with Front Office, Maintenance and other operational teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience 

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, service delivery and operational outcomes 

  • Lead by example, remaining visible on the floor and actively supporting the team when required 

 

About You 

To be successful in this role, you will bring: 

  • Proven experience in a Housekeeping Manager, Assistant Housekeeping Manager or senior supervisory role within a hotel, resort or hospitality environment 

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams through supervisors or team leaders 

  • Strong operational, organisational and people leadership skills 

  • Experience managing rosters, budgets, productivity and performance outcomes 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning methods, chemicals and equipment 

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining exceptional standards 

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across departments 

  • A hands-on leadership style with a positive, solutions-focused approach 

  • Certificate IV in Hospitality, Diploma qualification or equivalent industry experience would be desirable  

  • Strong knowledge of HSW policies, compliance and ensuring safe working enviroments

A Few Things to Know 

  • Flexibility is required, including weekends and public holidays as part of a 7-day operation 

  • Occasional travel to other RACV properties may be required 

  • Successful applicants will be required to complete employment history, qualification and police checks
