Founding Engineer
About this role
We are looking for a Founding Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join as one of the first engineers at Quill, an AI platform for data reliability on systems of record. You'll work directly with the CTO (ex-Palantir, ex-Datadog) to build the platform from scratch, talk directly to customers, and have massive ownership over product and architecture decisions.
What will you be doing?
Building the core platform from scratch with full ownership over architecture and product decisions
Interfacing directly with customers to understand their problems, gather feedback, and design solutions
Shipping features end-to-end (backend-heavy with some frontend) that non-technical users can actually use
Using AI-native development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) extensively to write production code
Helping define the product roadmap and engineering culture as one of the first hires
