We are looking for a Environmental Manager to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The Environmental Manager is responsible for management of regional environmental compliance and for providing leadership and management to a wide array of environmental and regulatory compliance projects related to stormwater management, air emissions and reclamation.

About the Role
Responsibilities:
- Develop, Implement, and drive environmental compliance through education, training, reporting and implementation of corporate compliance and company initiatives, identifying issues, performing audits / inspections, and helping to develop continuous quality improvement programs
- Conduct internal audits and implement environmental best practices to ensure facilities and quarry operations are in compliance with federal, state (North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana) and local environmental laws and regulations
- Develop tools, reports, policies, resources, etc. to reach and maintain compliance
- Champion corporate environmental sustainability goals
- Responsible for data entry of environmental reporting metrics for required permitting and key reporting compliance related to emissions inventory, stormwater, air quality, SPCC, Tier II, TRI, used oil & more
- Conduct field inspections and audits for all related facilities, job sites, etc. and the ability to accurately assess and record a level of compliance
- Communicate necessary environmental controls, impacts, and needed corrective actions to site personnel
- Work both in an office setting and out in the field, able to adjust between sedentary data work and various weather conditions, able to balance both the varied and the routine
- Will investigate, and report environmental incidents, compiling findings, and recommendations for corrective action, this information will be placed into a monthly summary report
- Coordination and engagement of environmental personnel and other personnel in the identification, development and implementation of environmental goals which will positively impact and add value to the organization
- Serves as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies on matters related to environmental compliance
- Ability to complete assigned projects on time within a designated budget
- Ability to lead team and delegate tasks / projects
- Ability to analyze data and create reports
- AutoCAD drafting such as basic grading, drainage & site operation plan
- Basic engineering calculations to support project goals
- Work deliverables include calculations, design plans, field documentation
- Understanding of environmental sampling and data interpretation and regulatory environmental compliance requirements
About You
We Require:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in environmental sciences / engineering or related field or equivalent education desired
- At least 7 years of related experience, preferably in a similar industry
- Requires familiarity and or working confidence, coupled with a willingness/ability to research/ acquire in-depth knowledge of the CAA, CWA, UPDES, RCRA, EPCRA & CRT, CERCLA, SPCC, and other applicable environmental regulations
- Experience and ability to build good working relationship with consultants, regulators, and regional representatives of environmental agencies such as the EPA, DEQ, County Health
- Department, etc. in a professional manner; experience overseeing audits with governmental agencies desired
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Database software, PDF editing software, and confident in data entry
- Confident reading and writing skills that include the ability to assimilate technical and scientific information, and the ability to convey by reducing and simplifying
- Strong public-speaking skills to communicate to groups of people, executive management, and other about environmental issues and needs
- This position will require some overnight travel within the Region
