Position Summary  

Cafeteria Worker

Location: Manhattan School District 114
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-1pm, Part Time, School Schedule

We are seeking dependable, energetic, and customer-focused Cafeteria Workers to join our food service team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and is committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized cafeteria.

Responsibilities

• Serve food according to established recipes and portion standards.

• Greet and assist students in a friendly and professional manner.

• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, and food service equipment.

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.

• Assist with stocking, receiving deliveries, and organizing inventory.

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient meal service.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or cafeteria experience is not required.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

• Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
