Position Summary

Quest International is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair audio/visual equipment used in medical and healthcare environments. This position requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently at customer locations, and extensive regional travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair A/V equipment at customer locations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on electronic and electromechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose issues involving wiring, cables, electronic components, control systems, and related equipment.
  • Use diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters, frequency counters, and vacuum/pressure meters.
  • Accurately document service activities and follow Quest and customer-site procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or associate-level education is preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience with A/V systems, electronics, field service, or similar technical equipment.
  • Experience working with HDMI, USB, coax, Cat5/Cat6, wiring harnesses, and electronic components.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical equipment using standard electronic diagnostic tools.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% and provide reliable transportation for work-related travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with A/V control systems and signal-processing equipment.
  • Experience installing or mounting monitors, speakers, or similar A/V equipment.
  • Experience servicing equipment in hospitals, healthcare facilities, or medical environments.
  • Familiarity with command-line tools or PowerShell.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel of up to 80%, primarily to customer locations. Employees are generally expected to be home on weekends.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Successful candidates must be able to complete Quest International’s required pre-employment screening process, including the required Human Performance Test identified on the personnel requisition.
