Marketing Manager Europe (m/f/d)
Location: Pfungstadt, Germany | Full-time | 100% on-site | Willingness to travel up to 20%
The Opportunity
As Marketing Manager Europe, you will have the unique opportunity to shape and lead marketing across Europe for innovative scientific technologies that are making an impact worldwide. Partnering closely with regional teams and global leadership in the U.S., you will develop and execute impactful marketing strategies that elevate brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and drive business growth across multiple markets. In addition to leading a talented European marketing team, you will oversee high-impact campaigns, compelling content, digital marketing initiatives, and international events, playing a key role in bringing cutting-edge scientific solutions to customers throughout Europe while making a visible and lasting impact on the business. Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement an integrated European marketing strategy in line with global corporate goals
Define target audiences (e.g., research institutions, the pharmaceutical industry, industrial laboratories) and develop appropriate communication approaches
Plan and budget marketing activities across multiple European markets
Establish and further develop brand positioning in the scientific and technical environment
Communication & Content
Create target group-specific content (e.g., technical articles, case studies, application reports)
Manage and optimize digital communication channels (website, email marketing, social media, GEO/SEO/SEA)
Translate complex scientific and technical content into clear, customer-focused messages
Ensure a consistent brand and communication strategy across all countries
Campaign Management & Lead Generation
Plan, implement and optimize integrated marketing campaigns for lead generation and customer retention
Partner with the sales team to ensure effective lead handoff and follow-up
Utilize marketing automation tools and CRM systems for campaign management
Develop account-based marketing approaches for key accounts
Events & Trade Shows
Plan and organize international trade shows, conferences, and webinars
Develop trade show concepts, including communication strategies before, during, and after the events
Collaborate with local teams to maximize reach and lead generation
Analysis & Reporting
Define KPIs (e.g., lead quality, conversion rates, ROI)
Analyze marketing performance and continuous optimization of initiatives
Prepare regular reports and presentations for management
Stakeholder & Project Management
Collaborate with sales, product management, global marketing, and external agencies
Coordinate international projects and ensuring timely implementation
Manage external service providers (e.g., agencies, translators, event providers)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, natural sciences, or a comparable field
Five years of B2B marketing experience with technical products, including managing regional or international marketing initiatives across multiple markets
Experience marketing and/or selling scientific instrumentation and related technologies to technical audiences
Working knowledge of SEO/SEA, performance marketing, and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Similarweb, or similar platforms)
Fluency in written and spoken German and English
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering, Physics, or a comparable scientific discipline
Experience marketing and/or selling scientific instrumentation, laboratory equipment, or other technical products within industrial, pharmaceutical, or research environments
Knowledge of technical SEO and content optimization for international markets
Experience leading or managing a marketing team in a regional or international environment
Additional Information
This is a fully onsite role based in Pfungstadt, Germany (5 days per week).
Must be legally authorized to work in Germany.
Requires the ability to travel up to 20% across the Quantum Design territory.
