Job Summary
The Vehicle Coordinator monitors and maintains the condition of QSAC’s vehicle fleet.
Salary - $18.00 - $20.00 an hour
Responsibilities
- Complete required QSAC orientation.
- Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.
- Communicate with Transportation Coordinator the status and location of all assigned vehicles and maintain program vehicle needs.
- Transport vehicles to approved service vendors, ensuring work is necessary and completed properly.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle checks and address problems identified as needed. Report results to supervisor.
- Complete all purchase orders, invoices, and other paperwork thoroughly and accurately and submit to supervisor.
- Follow procedures for the purchase and use of vehicle related equipment and supplies.
- Work independently in the field, staying focused on assigned tasks and priorities.
- Report to work for snow removal to ensure vehicles are able to exit parking lots, as needed.
- Drive defensively and maintain a clean driving record.
- Maintain individual/family confidentiality.
- Commitment to company values and adherence to policies.
- Attendance and punctuality is essential.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.
Qualifications and Work Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to run.
- Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 50 lb. items.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
- Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s).
- Valid NYS Driver License for 1 year minimum
- Demonstrate an understanding of basic vehicle operation and maintenance.

QSAC was founded in 1978 by a group of parents confronted with the limited service options for their children with autism. Today, QSAC provides direct services to more than 2,600 children and adults throughout the region.
QSAC pursues its mission through direct services that provide a supportive and individualized setting for children and adults with autism to improve their communication, socialization, academic, and functional skills. Programs for children include early intervention, preschool, school, after school, and in-home educational and support services. QSAC’s adult programs include supportive living, skill development programs, vocational training and job placement, and in-home services. All of QSAC’s programs provide supportive and trained staff, high-impact services, and a commitment to quality.
