Assistant Director of Day Habilitation
About this role
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage assigned Day Habilitation sites.
- Supervise Day Habilitation staff.
- Interview/Hire staff.
- Ensure programs are adequately staffed.
- Provides sufficient oversight and observation to ensure that the actual delivery of services is in accordance with treatment plans.
- Maintain and inform Day Program Supervisor of all problems and suggestions within the Programs.
- Communicate with other QSAC departments regarding individuals we serve.
- Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.
- Maintain individual/family confidentiality.
- Commitment to company values and adherence to policies.
- Complete required QSAC orientation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Driver's license.
- Ability travel throughout Nassau and all five NYC boroughs.
- Bachelor's degree and/or substantial related experience.
- Knowledge of OPWDD rules and regulations.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Supervisory experience.
- OPWDD Supported Employment experience preferred AND/OR knowledge of Pathways to Employment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
