Position Overview

Join us in our fast-paced support to mission partners across the Intelligence Community and national security space mission environment. You will support mission planning, technical analysis, operations coordination, and systems engineering and technical assistance (SETA) activities tied to flight operations, ground site operations, modeling and simulation, and mission execution.

 

We are seeking a SETA Mission Support Member to provide mid-to-senior-level technical and operational support in the National Capital Region. The ideal candidate has an active TS/SCI with Polygraph, direct Intelligence Community experience, a technical background in aerospace, astronautics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related discipline, and the ability to work in a SCIF in support of sensitive mission operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SETA mission support to government customers across technical, operational, and programmatic mission areas
  • Support mission planning, coordination, and execution activities involving flight operations, ground site operations, and related mission systems
  • Apply technical expertise in aerospace, astronautics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field to assess mission concepts, system performance, and operational readiness
  • Support modeling and simulation activities, including scenario development, analysis, mission performance assessment, and technical evaluation of operational concepts
  • Coordinate with government, SETA, FFRDC, UARC, industry, and mission partner stakeholders in classified environments
  • Develop, review, and delivery technical products, briefings, analyses, and recommendations for government leadership and mission stakeholders
  • Support operational planning and issue resolution in a SCIF environment
  • Maintain awareness of mission priorities, operational schedules, system constraints, and ground site activities affecting execution
  • Support a flexible work schedule as required to meet mission, operational, and customer needs

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • 10+ years of relevant  experience supporting Intelligence Community, Department of War, or national security missions
  • Prior Intelligence Community experience
  • Ability to work in a SCIF
  • Technical background in aerospace engineering, astronautical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience supporting IC flight operations and ground site operations
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to develop high-quality technical products, briefings, and recommendations for senior government stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, classified mission environment with changing priorities and time-sensitive requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM discipline
  • Experience supporting space, airborne, ISR, or national technical means missions
  • Experience working across government, SETA, FFRDC, UARC, and industry stakeholder teams
  • Experience supporting operational readiness reviews, mission rehearsals, technical interchange meetings, or ground system integration activities
  • Familiarity with mission assurance, systems engineering, test and evaluation, or operational analysis in classified environments

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. QinetiQ US considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
