Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking an Associate Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team and help ensure that our suppliers consistently deliver high-quality materials, components, and services. This is an early-career opportunity where you will gain experience in supplier quality processes while supporting more senior engineers. The role is focused on problem-solving, collaboration, and building supplier relationships to strengthen our supply base.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Material Review Board (MRB) process by reviewing nonconforming material, coordinating supplier responses, and ensuring timely closure of issues
  • Work with suppliers to resolve missing, incomplete, or incorrect documentation, including certifications, inspection reports, and compliance records
  • Assist with the initiation, tracking, and follow-up of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs)
  • Monitor and maintain supplier performance metrics, providing regular updates to the quality and supply chain teams
  • Support supplier assessments and audits; may occasionally perform supplier evaluations under supervision
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, and operations) to resolve supplier-related issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supplier quality and business processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 0–2 years of experience required
  • Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspections
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills for working with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • 10% Travel
  • Must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain preferred
  • Background in DoD sub-tier supplier management
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (aerospace, defense, medical device, or similar)
  • Experience with ERP or quality systems is a bonus
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar) is a plus

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this role is $60,000- $80,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. QinetiQ US considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
