About the opportunity
As a Senior Category Buyer for Professional Services and Indirect Categories, you will take ownership of sourcing and procurement activities at a local level while contributing to global category strategies. Acting as a key partner to internal stakeholders, you will manage end-to-end sourcing processes, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and high-quality service delivery. With a strong focus on categories such as HR services, marketing, communications, agency partners, and events, you will play a vital role in supporting business objectives while driving continuous improvement in procurement practices.
Your tasks include
- Execute sourcing strategies defined by the global or category lead and manage procurement activities for assigned categories locally, including purchase order generation
- Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including demand analysis, supplier identification, RFQs/RFPs, tendering, and contract negotiations within defined category guidelines
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring service quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across the supply base
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, provide procurement guidance, and deliver value-driven sourcing solutions
- Contribute to market analysis and supplier benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and support KPI and savings targets
- Support the development and implementation of category strategies, ensuring alignment with global procurement processes, tools, and governance
- Drive process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder satisfaction
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 4–5 years of experience in procurement, with a strong focus on indirect categories and professional services
- Proven experience in sourcing, supplier negotiations, contracting, and stakeholder management
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a global and cross-functional team
- Experience working in an international or global environment is an advantage
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
