About the role
The Licensed Engineer is responsible to ensure proper maintenance of aircraft and expedient rectification of aircraft defects as directed by the Senior Manager Maintenance-Rotary. He performs flying duties as allocated to an aircraft. He supervises Maintenance staff, allocated to him, to ensure safe and on time dispatch of aircraft under his control.
Main Duties include, but not limited to:
Reviewing the work and resources allocated
Informing Senior Manager Maintenance-Rotary of performed work and advising Senior Manager
Maintenance-Rotary of impeding service disruption
Defining priorities of work and ensuring efficiency of allocated staff
Ensuring completed documentation and certifications of maintenance work
Reporting and compilation of technical reports
Performing flying duties as the “Operating Engineer”
Debriefing responsible staff to ensure defects are defined and recorded
Exercising the role as Organization Representative on site during subcontracted layovers.
Effecting special projects
Supporting Senior Manager Maintenance-Rotary in regards to their duties
Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or apprenticeship in Technical Profession equivalent to bachelor’s degree or holder of a Part 66 License.
Five years as LAE B2.
Helicopter Maintenance Engineering License.
Comprehensive aviation knowledge of Helicopters.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Ability to make clear, rational decisions under pressure.
Good communications, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under demanding operational environments.
