Continuous Improvement Lead Engineer - Engine Shop

About the Role
To Identify and prioritize new projects, establish criteria, conduct project business case reviews, assign the projects to Continuous Improvement Engineer and ensure the proper planning and implementation of each project within Engine Facility and that milestones are met in a timely manner and within budget. Projects include and not limited to: New Capability Development, Facility Enhancements, Procedure Enhancements, and Capability Optimization.

Duties and Responsibilities
•    Manages and leads Continuous improvement projects in Engine Facility to improve maintenance capabilities, facility, equipment and procedures.
•    Analyses current production data to establish the job expectations and deliverables.
•    Determines the best options for process improvement to increase efficiency and get better results
•    Identify and set projects plans, proposals or any deliverables for Engine Facility Projects to ensure consistency and completeness
•    Setting reasonable projects completion targets by looking at projects load and time constraints to
•    complete projects successfully.
•    Monitors operational / project targets and drive improvements to achieve the project within timeline and budget
•    Develops scope and parameters for project design and implementation to have a clear view of project’s requirements, limitations, and timeline.
•    Oversees the projects assigned to Continuous Improvement Engineer to ensure high standard and quality of Project deliverables.
•    Researches, identifies and advises management on new feasible Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Engine Manual capabilities by conducting meetings with production to increase revenue, efficiency, and safety.
•    Assigns Project Focal to deliver Projects related to Engine Facility to segregate the workload evenly.
•    Coordinates the required resources to deliver project objectives.
•    Provides regular reporting on all ongoing projects, escalate any showstoppers, and highlights financial information.
•    Ensures all Project Plan items are covered and being completed as per agreed timelines. Project Plan consists of and not limited to: Preliminary Review, Detailed Review, Planning & Budgeting, Facility Readiness, Tool & Equipment Readiness, Manpower & Task Cards,   Procedure & Approvals, and Execution.
•    Evaluates and arranges required trainings and familiarization sessions for Engine Facility Staff to develop new capabilities.
•    Explores facility enhancements by looking at safety concerns or efficiency gaps to facilitate new capabilities, and/or equipment. 

•    Ensures Engine Facility floor layout is well organized to increase safety and productivity.
•    Reviews risk assessments to achieve high levels of safety within Engine Facility.
•    Explores the ongoing Engine Facility procedure gaps and look for solutions to increase efficiency &productivity.
•    Ensures the means and methods used within engine facility are the best solutions to carry out any specific procedure.
•    Performs other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About You
Qualifications
•    High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 7 years of job-related experience
Or
•    Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience
•    Minimum of 4 years of experience in project monitoring, project management, project engineering, or project planning experience (scope, schedule, cost, quality)
Skills
•    Analytical skills
•    Proven understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices
•    Ability to extract data from Maintenance data (Component Maintenance Manual, Structural Repair Manuals, Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Service Bulletin, Airworthiness Directives).
•    Ability to communicate effectively.
•    Command of English language.
•    Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
•    Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills.
•    Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
•    Managing staff to drive projects to meet the timeline of the project scope
•    Project Analysis and critical decision making
