Compensation Manager

Qatar Airways is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our Human Resources team as a Compensation Manager, based in Doha, Qatar.
As the Compensation Manager you will be responsible for effectively leading the development, implementation, and management of compensation and mobility programs across QR Group, driving global standards and principles while ensuring alignment with local competitiveness and company objectives.
Specific responsibilities for the role include:
Partner with senior management to develop and execute the Group's Reward & Benefits strategy and annual plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives, workforce requirements, and budget considerations.
Lead the development, implementation, maintenance, and governance of compensation and benefits policies, processes, and programmes, ensuring compliance with local legislation and consistency across international operations.
Monitor market trends, employment practices, and regulatory changes to proactively enhance reward policies, programmes, and frameworks.
Manage annual compensation review cycles, including salary reviews, pay adjustments, incentive programmes, and reward initiatives, providing recommendations that support a competitive and equitable reward structure.
Conduct and oversee internal and external benchmarking exercises, salary surveys, and market research activities, analysing findings to inform reward strategies and compensation decision-making.
Design, review, and advise on incentive and reward programmes to ensure alignment with organisational objectives, policies, market practices, and legislative requirements.
Provide strategic guidance and subject matter expertise to senior leadership and HR stakeholders on compensation, benefits, regional assignments, and reward-related initiatives.
Monitor and ensure the consistent application of Reward & Benefits policies across international locations while promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
Represent Qatar Airways in relevant industry forums and professional networks, including participation in compensation and reward benchmarking communities such as APDC (Airline Personnel Directorate Conference).
Act as the primary advisor to managers on all aspects of compensation, benefits, and reward policy, supporting informed people and business decisions.

About you
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.
Previous experience in a compensation, rewards, or related HR role, with exposure to international reward practices preferred.
Strong knowledge of compensation, remuneration, and Reward & Benefits (R&B) principles, including relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
A consultative approach with proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders on complex reward-related matters.
Strong negotiation, relationship management, and decision-making skills.
The ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and multicultural teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with international payroll and tax is preferred
