About this role

About the role

PwC’s Insurance Tax team is the UK market leader in providing tax services to the insurance sector. We work with general, life and health insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and the Lloyd’s market, serving major UK names as well as leading European, US and Bermudan groups.

Alongside top-tier firms, we support medium-sized businesses and start-ups. Operating nationally, our team is centred in London with practices in Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester and Bristol.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our growing team, delivering a wide range of tax services to clients across the insurance market in a collaborative environment.

What your days will look like:

  • Supporting a portfolio of Financial Services Insurance clients, leading on direct tax advisory and compliance matters while supporting Managers and Senior Managers

  • Providing strategic solutions to complex insurance tax challenges, leveraging analytical skills and coordinating input from global specialists

  • Driving client growth and business development, identifying new opportunities and strengthening relationships across the insurance market

  • Utilising your tax technical skills in a stimulating and challenging environment

  • Collaborating with a group of corporate tax specialists

This role is for you if:

  • You have proven experience in UK Corporate Tax, with the ability to deliver high-quality work and manage complex client portfolios and projects

  • You have strong analytical skills and a flexible approach, combined with the ability to work as part of a client team and an eagerness to learn.

  • You have experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

  • You have experience of project managing and delegating work within a team context

  • Insurance or Financial Services direct tax experience would be helpful but is not essential, as long as you bring a solid foundation in Corporate Tax and a willingness to learn

What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.

We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
