Company at a glance

Pump is a cloud cost-savings company targeting early-stage startups, using group buying and AI to reduce AWS compute spend. Forbes called Pump the 'Costco of Cloud compute,' and the company has signed up over 250 customers in the last six months, including more than 50 YC-backed startups. It expanded to India by establishing a subsidiary to serve Indian customers, launching in April after a four-month process of paperwork, legal work, and testing, and previously operated globally except for India. Pump’s model rotates long-term AWS commitments across companies in the same region to shrink 1-3 year commitments to about a month. It positions itself as a 'Costco for cloud' brand, and the India launch aims to save Indian customers up to 60% on AWS costs.
