Job Overview:
The Part-Time Lead Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the Family Support Services Division with administrative tasks, outreach tasks, referral coordination, and resource distribution. The position serves a primary role in supporting the Division’s Point Essentials resource distribution program as well as the Food and Wellness Network (FAWN). The Lead Support Specialist also supports the division's visibility within the community by attending outreach events & maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with the division's external partners. Current Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Criminal History Check, and FBI Clearance.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the FAWN Program Supervisor with support from the Divisional Director, the Lead Support Specialist will:
- Serve as lead point of contact for all FAWN pantry resource distribution supports, including general hygiene items, baby items, and incentives.
- Serve as lead point of contact for FAWN pantry clothing closet management, referrals, and dissemination.
- Support with general FAWN pantry operations, stocking, organization, upkeep, crowd control & shopper support.
- Provide planning and day-of coordination supports for all FAWN workshops.
- Maintain strong internal & external partner relations with Cradles to Crayons, food delivery supports, and all additional community supports that benefit the Family Support Services Divisional Programs.
- Coordinate and streamline tangible resources & supports throughout all divisional programs.
- Participate in community outreach events to ensure individual program and divisional visibility.
- Participate in all program & divisional meetings as required.
- Support new initiatives and innovation related to expansion of divisional programs.
- Complete general admin supports as required.

- Evidence of experience working with underserved and vulnerable populations
- Demonstrated ability to build community partnerships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Culturally sensitive to the needs and diversities of multi‐cultural communities.
- Proficient skills in typing, basic computer operations, Microsoft, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of social services, child welfare, and family systems services.
- Able to work independently, demonstrating good judgment and prioritizing.
- Must be accurate and detail-oriented.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
- Practices good customer service skills in all working relationships.
- Strong interpersonal skills, respectful, and courteous nature.
Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a social service program providing admin supports, working with community partnerships and/or supporting with general programming.
Education Requirement:
- High School Diploma Required
- Associate's Degree Preferred
