Supervisor Pharmacy Technician for Providence Home Services Specialty Pharmacy in Tigard, OR.

Full-Time/Day Shift

Provides operational leadership and oversight of Credena Health’s Medication Benefits (Patient Access) team, ensuring timely patient access to therapy through benefits investigation, prior authorization, financial assistance, referral coordination, and reimbursement support.

Leads medication benefit specialists, pharmacy technicians, and patient access caregivers while partnering with pharmacists, providers, payers, manufacturers, and external organizations to improve access, patient experience, and organizational outcomes.

Responsible for caregiver development, operational performance, quality, productivity, workflow optimization, and compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. Serves as a subject matter expert and key liaison across pharmacy, clinical, provider, and external partner teams.

Essential Functions

  • Supervises, coaches, and develops Medication Benefits Specialists, Pharmacy Technicians, and assigned caregivers.
  • Oversee daily operations including benefits investigations, prior authorizations, appeals, and financial assistance enrollment.
  • Monitors workload, productivity, service levels, and key performance metrics.
  • Resolves complex patient access, reimbursement, and payer-related issues.
  • Ensures compliance with payer, regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
  • Leads training, onboarding, competency assessment, and performance management activities.
  • Identifies and implements workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and patient experience.
  • Collaborates with pharmacy, clinic, and operational leaders to improve access to therapy and achieve departmental goals.
  • Supports quality improvement, reporting, and accreditation readiness activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician or
    • Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacy Technician License.
  • 2 years Pharmacy experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year Specialty Pharmacy experience.
  • Lead technician and/or supervisory responsibility.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
