We are seeking organized, knowledgeable, and skilled stewards to join our reputable culinary team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by EcoLab.
Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries.
Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
Assist with maintaining and organizing the china room and warehouse.
Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed.

Performs other related duties as needed.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

1+ year of experience working in a kitchen or as a steward is preferred, experience in customer service role is preferred
High school diploma of GED

Specialized Qualifications

Planning and multi-tasking
Self-motivated with a high energy level
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.
Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This position will be stationed out of the Gas South District located in Duluth, GA. This position will spend majority of time in the kitchen and dish pit area where there will be hot water, chemicals, and typical kitchen equipment and utensils.

Uniform Requirements

Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.

Non-slip shoes are necessary.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of standing, moving through a kitchen space
Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives.
Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment.
Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.

Position Salary & Benefits

This is considered a part-time hourly position. Schedules may be flexible as business demands.
