Job Description:

 

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled webMethods Architect to design and lead enterprise integration solutions using IBM webMethods, with a strong focus on B2B/EDI integrations. The role involves defining scalable architectures, enabling partner onboarding, and ensuring reliable, secure data exchange across enterprise ecosystems.

 

Key Responsibilities

Design end-to-end integration solutions using:

webMethods Integration Server, Designer, API Gateway

Trading Networks (B2B/EDI)

Universal Messaging

Lead B2B integration architecture, including:

EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, XML/Flat File)

Partner onboarding, profile setup, and document exchange flows

Communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, HTTPS)

Define canonical data models and mapping strategies for partner integrations

Establish governance, security, and compliance (encryption, certificates, non-repudiation)

Drive API strategy and integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous, event-driven)

Oversee performance tuning, error handling, and monitoring frameworks

Enable CI/CD and automated deployments using webMethods toolchain and DevOps tools

 

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience in:

webMethods Integration Server & Designer

Trading Networks (B2B/EDI implementation)

webMethods API Gateway

Hands-on expertise in:

EDI processing, validation, and transformations

Partner management and onboarding

Communication protocols: AS2, SFTP, HTTPS

Any other integration tool experience (IBM CP4I/Mule soft/Boomi/SAP CPI) will be considered a plus.

 

Experience with:

Flow services, adapters (JDBC, SAP, MQ), REST/SOAP services

Messaging (UM/JMS) and event-driven integrations

Good understanding of:

Integration patterns (EIP), SOA/microservices

Security standards (SSL/TLS, certificates, OAuth2)

 

Qualifications

8–12+ years of integration experience

4–6+ years in webMethods, with strong B2B/EDI exposure

Experience in banking, supply chain, or partner-heavy ecosystems preferred

 

Key Competencies

Strong B2B integration and partner onboarding expertise

Solution architecture and performance optimization

Stakeholder communication and technical leadership
