- Excellent knowledge of business English and Dutch or French
- 6+ years of experience in payments, transaction banking, cashmanagement or related financial services domains
- Proven track record in delivering complex payments transformation initiatives within consulting, banking, payment institutions or fintech environments
- Excellent understanding of payments operating models, payment infrastructures and industry trends
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and managing complex client environments
- Ability to manage workstreams, projects or programmes and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Payment infrastructures, financial messaging and market infrastructures (SWIFT, ISO 20022, Instant Payments, Clearing & Settlement, T2/T2S/TIPS, Core Banking).
- Payment innovation and transformation (PSD2, Open Banking, Embedded Finance, CBDCs, Digital Assets, Transaction Banking, Cards & Merchant Payments, regulatory change).
Your key responsibilities:
- Advise banks, payment institutions and fintechs on complex payments topics, including Instant Payments, ISO 20022, Open Banking and payments modernisation initiatives.
- Guide and support large-scale payments transformation programmes, translating strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps and deliverables.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping them navigate regulatory change, industry developments and evolving customer expectations.
- Analyse the impact of new regulations, market schemes and industry standards on payments processes, operating models and technology landscapes.
- Bridge business, operations and technology teams to ensure the successful design and implementation of payments solutions.
- Facilitate workshops, challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, customer experience and operational resilience.
- Contribute to business development activities by supporting proposals, sharing market expertise and identifying new opportunities within existing client relationships.
