Job Scope:

Responsible for managing custom online market research projects of low-to-mid complexity from initiation through completion. Owns execution across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring on-time delivery, quality standards, and financial accuracy. Influences project-level revenue forecasting and invoicing accuracy. No direct reports.

Strategic Imperative:

The Project Manager, Sample Solutions plays a critical role in delivering high-quality custom online market research projects with operational excellence and client focus. This role ensures seamless project execution, supports strong client relationships, and upholds quality and financial accuracy standards. By managing timelines, mitigating risks, and collaborating cross-functionally, this position directly contributes to client satisfaction, repeat business, and the efficiency of the Sample Solutions team.

Primary Objectives:

End-to-End Project Management: Execute custom online market research projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to scope.

Client Service & Communication: Support strong client relationships through proactive updates, clear communication, and responsive issue resolution.

Quality and Timeliness of Delivery: Maintain high-quality standards while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within approved parameters.

Revenue & Financial Accuracy: Support accurate forecasting, reconciliations, and timely invoicing for assigned projects.

Risk Identification & Resolution: Proactively identify potential project risks and escalate issues appropriately to maintain project health.

Vendor & Partner Coordination: Coordinate effectively with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Product & Process Knowledge: Develop working knowledge of product offerings, panel behavior, and internal systems to support effective execution.

Detailed Job Duties: (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks which support the primary objectives)

End-to-End Project Management:

  • Manage market research projects of low-to-mid complexity across all execution phases.

  • Execute project activities including kick-off calls, sample and quota setup, survey/screener testing, fieldwork launch, monitoring, quality checks, and closeout.

  • Support reconciliations, respondent honorarium processing, invoicing coordination, and project debriefs.

  • Assist with more complex project types (e.g., IHUTs, geofencing, receipt capture) under guidance as needed.

Client Service & Communication:

  • Build professional and collaborative working relationships with clients.

  • Provide regular project updates and address client questions in a timely manner.

  • Support account teams in delivering a positive client experience to encourage retention and repeat business.

Quality and Timeliness of Delivery:

  • Monitor project milestones to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Conduct quality assurance checks throughout fieldwork.

  • Manage shifting timelines and scope changes with organization and professionalism.

Revenue & Financial Accuracy:

  • Maintain accurate project records and support revenue forecasting.

  • Ensure timely submission of invoicing details for assigned projects.

  • Track and report key project metrics including field times, incidence, and completion rates.

Risk Identification & Resolution:

  • Identify potential risks related to feasibility, timelines, or scope.

  • Escalate concerns appropriately and communicate recommended solutions.

Vendor & Partner Coordination:

  • Coordinate with approved third-party vendors and outsourcing partners to meet study requirements.

  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure quality and timeline adherence.

Product & Process Knowledge:

  • Develop strong understanding of the company’s product portfolio and panel capabilities.

  • Apply best practices and internal tools to support efficient project execution.

The MUST Haves: (ex: job cannot be done without these skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses)

  • Three or more (3+) years of relevant project management experience, ideally within the market research field

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Understanding of market research and primary research methodologies

  • Experience in customer service or client service-type roles is strongly preferred

  • The candidate must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • The candidate must be self-motivated with exceptional time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

  • The candidate must have the ability to manage multiple qualitative & quantitative projects accurately and on-time in a fast-paced environment where moving deadlines and other changes often occur in real time.

  • The candidate must have well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of project management tools and concepts and can be a quick learner of new technologies/software

  • The candidate must have the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment to successfully meet study-specific and departmental objectives

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite products

  • Experience in working in a 24x7 environment requiring weekend and afterhours coverage

  • MBA in Marketing or related fields

  • Flexibility to work in different time zones and shifts
