This role sits on the Walmart Customer Team, supporting business users through fast, iterative delivery of data‑driven and software‑enabled solutions. This role is a user-facing data engineering role and offers opportunities to work directly with stakeholders through all stages of the application life cycle. In addition to delivering and supporting solutions, this role plays an important part in defining and delivering our team’s DevOps roadmap.
Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain software and data infrastructures that support business‑facing use cases
- Develop and improve CI/CD and DevOps practices to support reliable, repeatable delivery
- Contribution to internal tools, documentation, and standards to accelerate our development capabilities
Job Qualifications
Required
- Ability to write and maintain code (such as Python and SQL)
- Understanding of P&G Data & Analytics architecture (Azure, Databricks, Power BI Workspaces, Copilot Studio)
- Understanding of DevOps best practices (version control, CI/CD)
- Data engineering experience working with large datasets
- Enthusiasm for working directly with end-users and for figuring out to get the most out of the latest AI tools
Preferred
- Experience deploying solutions through AI Factory, Pygentic, PowerApps
- Experience operating in a higher performing Agile team
- Application ownership experience
Location/Mobility:
- This role is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and will require a move to Northwest Arkansas to work directly with the Walmart Customer Team
