The Fleet Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the completion of all automotive repairs, adjustments, preventive maintenance service, and checks of vehicles according to prescribed PM Policies and Procedures. The Fleet Service Manager will also be responsible for overseeing that there is an accurate record keeping of all services and repairs completed. Experience with Fleetio is a plus. This individual will report into the EMS Director.
This is a Non-Exempt/Hourly position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific Duties
Oversee the completion of all automotive repairs, adjustments, preventive maintenance service, and checks of vehicles according to prescribed PM Policies and Procedures
Ensure accurate record keeping of all services and repairs completed.
Manage and supervise a team of mechanics and technicians.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
Monitor and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
Provide training and guidance to mechanics and technicians.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements
Moderate travel between operational sites and vendor locations may be required.
Work Environment
This position operates in office, garage, and fleet maintenance environments with routine exposure to vehicle maintenance operations and field service activities.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
Strong knowledge of methods, material, tools, and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment: operating principles of gasoline and diesel engines and of mechanical repair of vehicles ranging from passenger cars to in the one (1) ton category.
Locating, correcting, and adjusting defects in complex automotive and mechanical equipment; performing skilled work in repairing, overhauling, and maintaining gas and diesel powered automotive equipment; intercepting and working from charts, technical manuals, and diagrams; using and caring for tools and equipment used in automotive and mechanical repair work; maintaining detailed and routine records.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to communicate effectively in both a written and oral manner.
Ability to maintain a good driving record.
Ability to strictly adhere to established safety policies and guidelines.
Currently possess a current valid driver’s license.
Two (2) years of confirmed experience as a mechanic, or One (1) year of confirmed experience after successful completion of an industry recognized trade school or college.
Strong background in electrical, air conditioning, heating, braking, and power train systems. To include diagnosis and repair.
Certification for procurement/purchasing, of refrigerant type gases and oils for air-conditioning systems.
Must furnish own tools.
Must be available 24 hours a day.
Physical Requirement

Ability to use a variety of Office Equipment.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 Lbs.
Ability to use a variety of tools and machinery.
Ability to perform various physical labored intensive tasks.
Has no back problem, muscle problem, or other physical disability which would not allow the lifting and carrying of heavy weight.
Has quick reflexes and superior safe driving ability.
Has no established medical history or clinical diagnosis of epilepsy, rheumatic, arthritic, orthopedic, muscular, neuromuscular, or vascular disease, or any other medical condition which may interfere with his ability to control and operate a motor vehicle and automotive repair machinery or tools.
Has no established medical history or clinical diagnosis of uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
No emotional, mental, nervous, organic, or functional disorder likely to interfere with safe emergency driving and operation of automotive repair machinery or tools.
No impairment of use of foot, leg, hands, arms or other structural defects or limitations likely to interfere with safe driving and operation of automotive repair machinery or tools.
