Maintenance Technician - Nights (Monday - Friday)

About this role

  • Lead advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.
  • Mentor and support lower-tier technicians through on-the-job training and technical guidance.
  • Participate in and lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action processes.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC systems, motor controls, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Perform and document preventative and predictive maintenance routines with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
  • Install, repair, and upgrade machinery and components as part of capital improvement projects or upgrades.
  • Assist in developing and improving maintenance SOPs and equipment documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, safety, and company policies during all maintenance activities.
  • Support facility infrastructure including HVAC, compressed air systems, boilers, and water treatment systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and external vendors on repairs, upgrades, and retrofits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electro-mechanics, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMIs, sensors, and automated systems.
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills including AC/DC circuits, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
  • Proficient with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
  • Forklift and aerial lift certified.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to document tasks clearly and train others.
