Credit Analyst
About this role
The Credit Analyst is responsible for providing support to the credit and lending teams by analyzing financial statements, preparing credit memoranda, and assisting the underwriting commercial real estate loans. The role will review borrower and guarantor information, performs financial modeling, and assesses creditworthiness and risk in accordance with the Bank's policies and regulatory standards.
- Update credit files and review loan documentation.
- Follow up on insurance, monitor existing credit portfolios, and contact clients.
- Board loans by communicating findings and updates to relationship managers and senior credit officers.
- Knowledge of BSA, AML, and New Accounts to assist in the opening of the department's business deposit accounts.
- Preparing loan advances/paydowns and invoice payments for officer review and signature.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial Real Estate loan documentation.
- Ability to coordinate loan closing with the Bank's Note Department.
- Regular client interaction via email or phone for new credit and/or ongoing servicing of the loan portfolio.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
- Prior banking experience or relevant Commercial Real Estate lending experience preferred.
- Branch Operations/New Account background a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
