Job Summary/Purposes
The incumbent is responsible for overseeing regional finance activities across Asia Pacific, ensuring accounting accuracy, compliance with IFRS and Group accounting policies, balance-sheet integrity, outsourcing governance, statutory and tax coordination, and consistent financial controls across markets.
Responsibilities
- Ensure consistency with IFRS and Group accounting policies across APAC markets, providing technical guidance and reviewing month-end closing outputs, P&L, balance sheet and outsourced provider deliverables
- Review and challenge balance-sheet reconciliations, high-risk transactions, unusual journal entries, aged items and recurring exceptions to protect balance-sheet integrity
- Oversee vendor and customer master-data governance, bank-account controls and APAC data-quality standards
- Coordinate audits, statutory financial statements, filings, disclosures and tax matters with advisors, local teams and the outsourcing provider
- Oversee payment accuracy, AP and AR aging, DSO, DPO, working capital and cash-flow views, providing consolidated analysis and action plans to management
- Drive systems, process and transformation initiatives from a finance perspective, including Akeron (lease), Ivalua (procurement), automation, standardization and service-quality improvements
- Manage outsourcing governance with the external providers and local focal points, reviewing SLAs, KPIs, service issues, audit findings, root causes and remediation actions
- Support lease accounting, renewals and planning simulations in coordination with Real Estate, Legal and FP&A
