Shipping Receiving Clerk

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Shipping/Receiving department for first shift. 

This Full-Time Position is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments for PPC Flex. This could include creating shipping documents and pulling inventory from the shelves. Once the order has been filled you are responsible for monitoring each shipment to make sure that outgoing packages are packed correctly and accurately. You will take care of all shipping labels and schedule of pickups.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Examine incoming and outgoing shipments contents and comparing with records to verify accuracy.
• Prepare documents, such as bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping orders to route product.
• Determine shipping method for products using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Record shipment date, such as weight, charges, space availability and damages and discrepancies for purposes of reporting, accounting and record keeping.
• Contact carriers to make arrangements and to issue instructions for the shipping and delivery of products.
• Confer and correspond with Operations Manager to rectify problems, such as damage, shortages and nonconformance to specifications.
• Pull order from warehouse racks using an RF scanner gun.
• Stage and palletize product in warehouse
• Perform light Quality Control checks to ensure that products are correct with what we ordered.
• Continually supports production with supplies and material to meet required production rates. 
• Communicates well with team members.
• Independently complete assigned job set up tasks in a timely manner. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• High School level mathematics
• Read and write English language.
• Understand standard and metric measurements. 
• Forklift operation
• Strong computer skills.
