About this role
- Key technical expert responsible for design, analysis, validation, and documentation of mechanical and thermal solutions for systems using our power electronics products
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to design and deliver cost‑efficient, high‑performance thermal management solutions for reference designs
- Provide technical support to customers by developing and implementing effective solutions to thermal and mechanical challenges
- Leverage CAD and advanced simulation tools to conduct thermal and mechanical evaluations, ensuring design validation and performance optimization
- Design, develop, and validate cost‑efficient custom mechanical components and fixture assemblies for test setups
- Ensure thorough and well-organized documentation is maintained across all phases of the design and development lifecycle
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong focus on power electronics system development
- Advanced proficiency in CAD and simulation tools such as SolidWorks and Ansys (Maxwell/IcePak)
- Experience in automotive product design, liquid cooling solutions, and additive manufacturing (3D printing) is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional engineering teams
- Proven expertise in design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA)
- Experience in the design and fabrication of customized high frequency transformers is an advantage
