Director of Strategic Marketing – Datacenter
About this role
- Own the Datacenter segment strategy and long-range growth plan.
- Define target applications, customer segments, ecosystem partners, and priority opportunities.
- Develop recommendations regarding where Power Integrations should invest, compete, and differentiate.
- Build deep understanding of hyperscalers, server OEMs, ODMs, power supply providers, and ecosystem partners.
- Monitor emerging AI infrastructure architectures, power-delivery trends, and competitive developments.
- With Sales and FAEs, conduct direct customer engagement to identify unmet needs, future requirements, and market opportunities.
- Translate market requirements into product and technology priorities.
- Influence roadmap decisions through customer insight, market analysis, and competitive intelligence.
- Partner with System Applications and Product Development to ensure future products address evolving market needs.
- Develop competitive positioning versus leading power semiconductor and power-system suppliers.
- Identify market gaps, competitive threats, and opportunities for differentiation.
- Drive clear customer value propositions and market messaging.
- Develop and drive the Datacenter GTM strategy, including customer targeting, design-win priorities, ecosystem engagement, messaging, and launch plans.
- Partner with Sales, Applications, and GTM teams to accelerate strategic opportunities and improve win rates.
- Build and lead a high-performing Datacenter Strategic Marketing team.
- Develop organizational capability in market analysis, customer engagement, competitive intelligence, and strategic planning.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in strategic marketing, product marketing, product management, applications, business development, or related leadership roles within semiconductors, power electronics, or datacenter infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of datacenter and AI infrastructure power architectures, including server power, auxiliary power, distributed power systems, and emerging higher-voltage power delivery trends.
- Proven ability to develop market strategies, influence product roadmaps, and drive GTM execution.
- Experience engaging directly with hyperscalers, server OEMs/ODMs, power supply providers, or datacenter ecosystem partners.
- Strong technical credibility and ability to engage effectively with engineering, applications, sales, and executive leadership teams.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing technical marketing or business teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to develop executive-level strategy recommendations and customer-facing narratives.
