About this role

  1. Market Research & Strategy


  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential stakeholders such as recyclers, suppliers, industries, and new geographic areas for expansion.

  • Lead market studies for procurement and sales of raw materials, with a focus on plastics such as PET, HDPE, LDPE, PP, HIPS, ABS, etc.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to formulate effective business strategies.


  1. Business Development & Commercials


  • Lead negotiations with Aggregators/Balers and Recyclers to finalize commercial terms, pricing, and agreements.

  • Achieve procurement and sales targets within defined timelines and cost parameters

  • Build and nurture long-term stakeholder partnerships aligned with PFC’s ethical sourcing standards.


  1. Sourcing & Fulfillment


  • Coordinate closely with suppliers, recyclers, and internal operations teams to ensure timely collections and material movement.

  • Coordinate for collections and payables with recyclers and suppliers


  1. Compliance & Governance


  • Ensure all sourcing activities comply with applicable waste management regulations and environmental standards.

  • Drive the conversion and onboarding of suppliers to meet WFTO compliance in line with Plastics For Change’s ethical sourcing framework.


  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration


  • Collaborate with operations, logistics, finance, and tech teams to ensure efficient service delivery.

  • Support implementation of process improvements and technology adoption across the marketplace.

Requirements

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in plastics, sustainability, waste management, recycling, or a related field.
