Job Summary

The Loan Onboarding Specialist II leverages senior level experience in responsibility for all aspects of new loan boarding including ensuring all data is received, boarded to the PHL servicing system, reconciled and in compliance with state and federal regulations including those of the CFPB. This position serves as a subject matter expert and assists in guiding and developing junior members of the New Loan Boarding team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes critical account verification for all new originated loans by completing the set up including the mapping of all data from the prior servicer utilizing the PHL loan boarding application or utilize analytic tools accurately manage and convert data to the servicing system. Responsible for insuring state and federal regulations are met including the generation of welcome and ownership letters. Complete tracking of the status of manual steps necessary for the successful boarding of loans and ensure loan review is completed in compliance with PHL policy and procedures.
• Reviews and monitors daily new loan reports and corrects any loan rejects or system errors.
• Prepares system generated welcome letters/404 letters for all new loans boarded.
• Leverages experience and advanced knowledge to act as escalation point for complex questions and issues.  Assists in training, mentoring, and developing junior staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree or higher preferred

Experience

• Minimum 4 years mortgage loan servicing experience required

Functional/Technical Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be proficient with Excel (including functions), and Microsoft Word
• Detail oriented with strong organization skills 
• Demonstrates accurate data entry skills
• Familiarity with standard loan closing documents (including notes, security instruments, title policies, Loan Estimated and Closing Disclosure) preferred
