PURPOSE:

This role serves as a critical leadership position within North America Finance, with accountability for approximately $291M in Cost of Goods across both Godiva and pladis North America. It exists to drive financial clarity, discipline, and value creation across a complex and evolving supply chain network. The role plays a pivotal part in enabling transformational changes supporting the redesign of the Godiva value chain to deliver a sustainable, profitable, and cash self-sufficient business, while also leading financial oversight of major operational initiatives such as the Big Flats transformation under Project Atlas. Through strong financial stewardship and insight, the role directly influences business performance, profitability, and long-term value delivery.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:

Cost & Working Capital Optimization

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of the supply chain to identify opportunities for efficiency improvement, cost reduction, and inventory optimization.

  • Develop and implement initiatives to optimize the supply chain.

Optimize Operational Deliver

  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to streamline processes and leverage systems for controls to ensure data integrity and transparency of key financial metrics.

  • Oversee all financial aspects of supply chain operations ensuring data consistency with corporate SCOA and IFRS reporting standards. Ensure overall data integrity and transparency of key financial metrics.

  • Owner of Product costing in line with established pladis principles

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Ensure delivery of short term and long-range financial targets.

  • Monitor performance against the budget and drive implementation of corrective actions where needed. Proactive in bringing forth actionable insights to identify trends, recommend course correcting actions and mitigate risk.

  • Lead Annual Operating Plan, Long Range Plan, Monthly Forecasting & Accruals, Reporting of Monthly Actuals, Variance Analysis

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis, inclusive of monthly management packs for the local and global supply chain teams.

Delivering Key KPI’s

  • Drive transparency in performance against key KPI’s related to supply chain finance and drive intervention where needed.

  • Ensure the achievement of financial targets and continuous improvement in KPI performance.

  • Specifically, deliver financial commitment of Project Atlas, Reading 1.0-3.0, Project Electra.

Audit

  • Proactively assess processes and controls that have a material financial impact; recommend course correcting action as needed. Represent Supply Chain Finance to audit and internal audit.

Leadership

  • Support the Head of Supply Chain and/or CFO when presenting to the pladis Americas LT and/or Global Supply Chain ELT.

  • Represent the Americas at Global Finance forums.

  • Proactively support the development of the America’s culture; inspire a culture of Quality starting in Finance and Supply Chain.

  • Development strong SC Finance Function with the right skills, competencies. Develop talent to ensure rewarding, value-added roles for the individual and organization.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in CPG or Food Industry

  • B.A./B.S. in Finance or Accounting is required; MBA or CPA is a plus.

  • Experience coaching and developing finance professionals.

  • Advanced analytical skills and experience harnessing technology to share insights and information.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to stand alone and influence both up and down within and outside the organization.

  • Build from scratch mentality with the ability to institute new standardized processes and establish a consistent, disciplined approach to how we operate.

  • A drive, commitment and sense of urgency that inspires others to be their best and achieve results.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, SAP, D365

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

Base starting salary ranges from $180k - $205k/year. The base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role includes:
