Description

Position Summary:

The Parking Operations Technician is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for the daily upkeep, enforcement, and operational functionality of parking facilities. This position supports the management team by ensuring garages and surface lots are clean, safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently downtown Greenville, SC.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who can work independently, take initiative, and handle a variety of operational tasks with minimal supervision.

Schedule:  

Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 3:00 pm with an hour for lunch. (Can be somewhat flexible with hours)

Compensation: $16.50 - $17 hourly 

Duties:

Facility Maintenance & Janitorial

Perform daily cleaning of parking garages and surface lots (sweeping, trash removal, pressure washing as needed)

Maintain cleanliness of entrances, exits, stairwells, elevators, and common areas

Identify and report maintenance or safety issues

Parking Enforcement

Monitor parking activity to ensure compliance with posted rules and regulations

Issue warnings or citations as required

Assist with customer interactions related to enforcement in a professional manner

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on parking equipment (gates, pay stations, signage, etc.)

Report major equipment issues and coordinate with vendors or management

Conduct routine inspections to ensure all systems are operational

Lot Attendant Duties

Provide general oversight of parking facilities

Assist customers with parking, payment, and general inquiries

Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all users

Operational Support

Assist management with day-to-day operational tasks as needed

Support special projects, events, or operational needs across multiple locations

Drive company vehicle between sites as required

Requirements

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Strong problem-solving skills and practical “common sense” decision-making

Good communication and customer service skills

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to operate a company vehicle safely

Basic mechanical aptitude (experience with equipment repair is a plus)

Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks (lifting, walking, cleaning)
