 Position Summary:  

The Housing Services Relief Staff roles play a vital role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all tenants, staff, and visitors to cover staffing shortages. Under the supervision of the assigned supervisor and in collaboration with onsite staff, this position is responsible for engaging residents on site, monitoring building access, enforcing visitor policies, and escalating concerns to the management staff 

Requirements

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor building entrance and verify identification for all individuals entering the premises. 
  • Ensure tenants comply with the building’s visitor policy, including checking in guests and maintaining visitor logs. 
  • Act as a professional and courteous first point of contact for all residents, visitors, and vendors. 
  • Support onsite staff in day-to-day operations and emergency response, as needed. 
  • Conduct regular checks of common areas to ensure a secure and orderly environment. 
  • Report any policy violations, safety concerns, or unusual activity to appropriate staff or supervisors. 
  • Maintain accurate records through email communications, incident reports, and shift logs as required. 
  • Abide by and enforce all Pine Street Inn policies and procedures. 
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Prior experience in security, concierge, residential services, or similar role preferred. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations. 
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting tenant privacy. 
  • Familiarity with issues related to homelessness, housing, and social services is a plus. 
  • Must be able to pass a background check and comply with Pine Street Inn employment standards.
