Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications through automated and manual testing. The ideal candidate will have experience designing test strategies, creating automation frameworks, executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and smoke testing.
  • Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
  • Perform manual testing when automation is not feasible.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Validate RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Analyze test results and prepare detailed test reports.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code reviews.
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# for automation scripting.
  • Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, PyTest, or Cucumber (BDD).
  • Knowledge of API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
  • Experience with SQL and database validation.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
  • Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Knowledge of mobile automation using Appium.
  • Experience testing cloud-based applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of security testing concepts and OWASP best practices.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
