About this role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineering Leader / Full Stack Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Kafka, along with proven experience in architecting distributed systems, driving technical excellence, mentoring engineering teams, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

The role requires a blend of hands-on technical leadership, solution architecture, system design, and people management to deliver innovative and reliable software solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities Architecture & Solution Design

  • Design and architect scalable, secure, high-performance, and cloud-ready enterprise applications.
  • Define application architecture, integration patterns, and technology standards across projects.
  • Lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance to development teams.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers and development teams.
  • Drive engineering best practices including coding standards, design patterns, code reviews, and quality assurance.
  • Lead architecture reviews, technical assessments, and solution governance activities.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Full Stack Development

  • Develop and oversee enterprise-grade backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Lead frontend application development using Angular and modern web technologies.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Ensure seamless integration between frontend, backend, and third-party systems.

Event-Driven & Distributed Systems

  • Architect and implement event-driven systems using Apache Kafka.
  • Design messaging, streaming, and real-time data processing solutions.
  • Establish best practices for asynchronous communication, fault tolerance, and distributed system architecture.

Team & Delivery Management

  • Lead and manage engineering teams through the complete software development lifecycle.
  • Support project planning, estimation, resource allocation, and delivery execution.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
  • Work closely with DevOps, QA, Product, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Quality, Security & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to security standards, coding best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Drive automated testing, CI/CD implementation, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Monitor application performance and implement proactive improvement strategies.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and provide technical resolutions for complex issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in software development and solution architecture.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Strong knowledge of Angular and modern front-end development frameworks.
  • Experience designing and implementing microservices-based architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with REST APIs, distributed systems, and system integration.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to monitoring and observability tools.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Industry certifications related to cloud, architecture, or software engineering are preferred.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
