About this role

The Business Process Consultant will support business transformation and implementation initiatives by documenting operational processes, updating process documentation, and preparing business teams for transitions to future-state operating environments. The consultant will work closely with Operations, Business SMEs, Risk, Controls, Technology, and Program teams to ensure operational procedures, inventories, and training materials accurately reflect the target operating model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document end-to-end operational processes supporting business and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for post-implementation operations.
  • Develop current-state and future-state process maps using enterprise standards.
  • Create and maintain process architecture documentation and operational inventories.
  • Update task inventories to reflect new workflows and operational responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate documented procedures and process flows.
  • Develop training documentation, job aids, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Support implementation readiness activities by ensuring documentation completeness and accuracy.
  • Participate in workshops with Operations, Technology, Risk, Controls, and Program stakeholders.
  • Maintain document version control and governance standards.
  • Identify documentation gaps and recommend process improvements.
  • Support governance reviews by preparing required process and operational documentation artifacts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience documenting operational or business processes.
  • Experience developing SOPs, process documentation, operational procedures, and business playbooks.
  • Strong knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM) methodologies.
  • Experience with Visio, Lucidchart, Blueworks, or similar process mapping tools.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Strong facilitation and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple projects and workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within Capital Markets, Asset Management, Custody, Wealth Management, or Financial Services organizations.
  • Knowledge of Corporate Actions, Fund Accounting, Asset Servicing, Investment Operations, or related operational functions.
  • Experience supporting large-scale business transformation, process improvement, or platform implementation programs.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience developing future-state operating model documentation and process governance artifacts.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 36,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 126,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
