The Opportunity
Lead the execution of Indirect Procurement strategies for the Andean Business Unit, partnering with LATAM Category Management teams to translate regional strategies into local business impact.
This role is responsible for delivering productivity targets, ensuring governance compliance, managing strategic supplier relationships, and driving sourcing excellence across Maintenance, MRO, Industrial Services, Facilities, and related categories.
The position acts as a key business partner to local stakeholders, balancing global standards with local market requirements while ensuring an efficient, compliant, and value-driven procurement operation.
Your Impact
Category Strategy & Business Partnership
Execute regional and global procurement strategies within the Andean Business Unit.
Partner with manufacturing, maintenance, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify value opportunities, and ensure alignment between business priorities and procurement objectives.
Provide local market intelligence, supplier insights, and category expertise to support sourcing decisions and strategy execution.
Strategic Sourcing, Productivity & Supplier Management
Lead sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, contract management, and category projects across assigned spend areas.
Deliver productivity targets and cost optimization initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
Manage supplier performance, foster strategic partnerships, and ensure compliance with quality, service, and commercial expectations.
Procurement Excellence & Digital Transformation
Drive procurement automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Leverage SAP, Ariba, Power BI, Celonis, and other digital tools to analyze spend, generate insights, and improve category performance.
Develop contracting strategies that increase operational efficiency, contract coverage, and purchasing effectiveness.
Governance & Team Leadership
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, contracts, and internal controls.
Support audits, risk management activities, KPI tracking, and governance processes.
Lead and develop a team of 2–3 procurement professionals, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
Qualifications
Who Are We Looking For?
Academic Background
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related fields.
- Postgraduate studies in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Management, or related disciplines are a plus.
Experience
- 4-6 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Category Management
- Experience managing categories such as MRO, Maintenance, Industrial Services, Facilities, PPE, Uniforms, Electrical, Mechanical, or related operational spend.
- Proven track record leading supplier negotiations, contract management, and productivity initiatives.
- Experience working in regional or global environments, considering local regulations, taxes, and market dynamics.
- Experience leading and developing teams is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of commercial and legal contracts.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience managing spend analysis and procurement reporting.
- Advanced Excel
- Advanced SAP, Ariba (mandatory)
- Power BI, and procurement systems.
- Spoken Fluent English (mandatory)
